Plans & Drawings
After an initial consultation to determine the general scope of your project, we'll walk the property together to discuss the specific job requirements. This is when it gets fun! Do you like an open floorplan? Would you like to reconfigure an area or add-on a new room? Our priority is to identify your needs and desires for the home and to maximize the functionality and style of the space. This is where your vision and our expertise first meet.

Then it's off to the drawing board. A preliminary drawing will be produced for your review. When you're happy with the drawings and the estimated job costs are within your budget parameters, working drawings can be generated and distributed for bids, material take-offs and permits. 3D renditions are also available as needed to help you visualize the plan and bring it to life. Design & Finish Selections
This exciting phase of the process is ongoing throughout the project. From the beginning, we'll talk about your style preferences and your desired finish materials. Is your style traditional, modern, farmhouse? Or do you prefer an eclectic blend of several different styles? What type of flooring, cabinetry and countertops do you like? You may already know what you want, but if you're still exploring ideas, we're here to help you discover what design style fits your personality, lifestyle and budget. We stay current on the latest styles as well as products & materials in the marketplace. We are also able to create digital mood boards for you to see your selections with coordinating materials and paint colors. Please refer to the Photo Gallery tab to see examples.
Building & Construction
Van De Walle Construction is a professional contracting business and maintains the required license and insurance as a Residential Building Contractor. We obtain all of the necessary permits and schedule inspections as needed for your project. If there is a case where the homeowner is required to obtain approval or schedule services, we are available to assist and coordinate with the authorities to insure all work is completed according to their specifications. Our subcontractors are top notch and provide quality craftmanship. We maintain excellent relationships and communication with each trade and provide the necessary supervision and coordination of their work.
We encourage communication with our homeowners and appreciate any questions or suggestions throughout the process. Any requested revisions to the contracted scope of work are addressed promptly and handled with a written change order. Change orders are communicated between the contractor, the homeowner and the applicable sub-contractor(s) to insure all parties understand the full scope of the revision as well as any associated cost, if applicable.
